Iran's parliament has unanimously passed a bill that labels the Pentagon and the US military as terrorist organizations, Tasnim news agency reported.
The document was adopted in response to the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani , who and several high-ranking Iraqi officials were killed in a US airstrike on January 3.
- Following the assassination of General Soleimani, carried out on the orders of Donald Trump, the United States began deploying more than 3,000 paratroopers to the Middle East. They will be stationed in Kuwait.
- Iraq's parliament voted on January 5 for a resolution asking the country's government to end a 2014 agreement that allowed the U.S. to station troops in Iraq. If the government approves the resolution, the U.S. would have a year to withdraw its troops from Iraq.
