New browser Firefox 72.0 with tracking protection

Mozilla reports that the browser activates the blocking of digital printers, and by default this function will work on all supported OS.

At the very beginning of the new 2020, Mozilla released the Firefox 72.0 browser even more secure from tracking. It allows users to completely refuse to view pop -ups to receive notifications.

The browser activates the blocking of digital prints collectors - the default collectors of digital prints on all supported OSs will be blocked.

“The improved tracking protection in Firefox marks a new milestone in our struggle with intersight tracking: now, by default, we block the scenarios for removing“ fingerprints ”for all users, taking a new bold step in the struggle for the confidentiality of our users,” says Mozilla.

When you visit a new site that sends notification requests, a small icon will appear in the address bar, swaying from side to side and saying that Firefox blocked the next notification. If you do not want to receive notifications from the site viewed, then the icon that appears should simply be ignored. If you need notifications, then just click on the icon and confirm your decision.

“The pop -up windows will no longer interrupt your viewing of a particular site, instead, a speech cloud will appear in the address bar when interacting with the site,” the company notes.

The developers are asked to report possible bugs in the browser in a special Bugzilla service.

The browser also received support for watching the video in the “picture in the picture”: “... Select the blue icon on the right edge of the video to open a pop -up window, and you can continue to watch [it], working in other tabs or applications.” The function is available for Linux and Mac users.
