A year ago, January 9, Lyudmila Surovtseva lost her husband Yuri, and Sergey Surovtsev - father. Yuri died of peritonitis and bilateral pneumonia. They had a friendly family: not a single new year spent separately. On December 31, my mother and son spent the past together, comforting each other. 2020, the political prisoner Sergey Surovtsev met in a pre -trial detention center, starving the nineteenth day, and Lyudmila at home alone, thinking about how to help his son, who was put for two and a half years and who firmly decided to starve in protest against the injustice of “Moscow business”.

Family

“Do not steal, do not kill, do not lie,” repeated Yuri Surovtsev, colonel of the customs service, the main rules of his life. He and the son of Seryozha were very similar: both closed, but ironic, both with an aggravated sense of justice and a clear understanding of what they need from life.

When Seryozha was five, he became interested in computers. In elementary grades, he decided that he should be a programmer, and made two diaries for himself: one for his mother, the other for school.

In the summer, after the end of the school year, Seryozha hid the diary by the closet. In the morning, Luda began to clean and stumbled upon an obstacle. I pulled out a battered diary: literature, Russian - deuces. In terms of technical objects of the five, as in the version of the diary she saw. She called her son “on the carpet” and asked if he and his dad wanted to tell him something. Seryozha answered simply:

- I will not need these items in life, mothers, why should I cllate my head?

Dad supported his son:

- That's right, teach what you need!

After school, Seryozha entered the MAI. His career in IT began at the university. At 21, he said “I have to live alone” and moved to the apartment after a couple of entrances from the previous house. Seryozha celebrated every New Year with his parents. It was important for him - to meet the fighting of chimes with his family, sit, talk, and only then go to celebrate further.

In the winter of the eighteenth, before the New Year, Yuri got into intensive care. Pancreatic cyst. The year of Luda and Seryozha met together, hoping for the best. The best did not happen - the dad developed bilateral pneumonia “for unidentified reasons”, as they wrote in the documents, and there was a rupture of cysts with peritonitis. It seems that the infection was allowed into intensive care - a different explanation, Lyudmila believes, no.

Yuri was gone on January 9, 2019. The organization of the funeral, the commemoration of Seryozha, who never allowed himself to cry, completely took on himself. He planned to sue doctors and collected documents, but his mother said:

- The doctors have their own brethren, Seryozha. But dad still cannot be returned.

Sentence

We are sitting in the kitchen in an apartment where the Surovtsev family watched the president’s speech every year and exchanged gifts. Luda smokes and drinks coffee. Two English bulldogs run around the apartment, stomping. On the table is the untouched "bird's milk". I move the cake:

- We must eat. At least a little, so that there is strength.

- I can’t, I start - and cramps. He doesn’t eat, and I can’t, you know?

Political prisoner Sergey Surovtsev announced a hunger strike on December 12. For almost a month he has been drinking only water.

The investigation in his case lasted only one day. According to investigators, during an inconsistent rally for honest elections to the Moscow City Duma, a 30-year-old Surovtsev programmer, while on Tverskaya Street, grabbed a metal fence and hit him by the Rosgvardy officer Alexander Ostrovoverhov on the fingers of both hands, tried to block the movement of the security forces. Surovtsev was detained on November 28, the next day was arrested, and the investigation was officially completed. The victim of the Russian Guard claims that he shouted anarchist slogans on the rally of the Surovtsev, showed him an indecent sign and disappeared into the crowd. In the video from the rally that can be found in the public domain on YouTube, it is clear that it presses the fence towards the Russian Guard, but there were no strokes and any gestures.

By the time the sentence was sentenced, on December 24, Seryozha is starving the twelfth day. He markedly haggard compared to the first court, large bruises appeared under the eyes. The prosecution asks for him four years in prison. At the same time, the case of Samariddin Rajabov, who threw a plastic bottle towards the security forces, but did not hit the plastic bottle, is considered in the neighboring wing of the court. Hundreds of people and many journalists came to his verdict: some of them did not fit into the courtroom and remained waiting for the news on the street. Raper Oximiron, who released a joint track with Rajabov, also came to support him. Samariddin will be released in the courtroom, and the appointed fine of 100,000 rubles will be written off at the expense of days spent in the pre -trial detention center.

About thirty people came to Surovtsev’s verdict. The judge will announce - 2.5 years in a colony of general regime "In order to restore justice." Seryozha will refuse the last word. When the escorts begin to put out everyone from the hall, his mother screamed:

- Seryozha! Seryozha! We must eat! When will you start eating?

- Never.

Hunger strike

"Bird milk" continues to be bored on the table. Dogs require food, bark and stand on their hind legs alternately. Lyudmila mechanically takes out sugar bones from the package. Dogs are carried away with them to the next room. She says:

- When I first found out about a hunger strike, I thought - I will also declare. Moreover, I could not eat at all then. And then I realized: I have responsibility, work, programs, dogs, cat Seryozhin ... She is now at his friend, I barely caught her after a mask-show. Yura said during his lifetime - we are responsible for those who have been tamed. And where am I to Denu?

- How does Seryozha feel like your dates? By the way, how many were there?

- Two. The first time I come, and he is shaved. He always had long hair, and then ... the lawyer warned me, said that Seryozha was shaved because of the fears of some insects. Then he said that his son declared a hunger strike.

On the first date it was very difficult to look at him. The date lasts two hours, and during this time Seryozha fell asleep many times. He sits and repeats: "Mom, I'm tired, I'm tired, I will sleep."

- And he periodically turned off?

- Disconnected. He repeated: "I'm tired of talking." His mouth dried up, but there was no water, he licks his lips like that ... I say: "You have an empty stomach," he is to me: "Mom, everything is fine, this is my decision." And these dark circles under the eyes. And the fingers are thin. And he was in a jacket, he could still walk and came from a walk.

- And in the second meeting?

- I couldn’t walk in the second, it was December 28, said that it was necessary to protect strength so that the body could cope. But that day he perked up. And I was able to talk to me. He began to ask if the media write about him, whether his friends write to me, what people say about his business, how his cat Tiffany is doing. He asked for books on quantum physics, fiction in the Swedish language (he is perfectly known to English and well Swedish) and a spanning tutorial. I say: "Why do you need Seryozha?" He says: “I’ll fly to Spain, I will find a girl there, we will dance flamenco,” and for the first time he laughed.

I liked it, since it jokes, then the head still works.

Lyudmila leads me into Seryozha’s apartment after a couple of entrances.

“You just don’t get scared - that is still a bachelor's den.” And riot police trampled everything, I somehow cleaned up, but I have to.

The bedroom has a server station, a huge number of monitors, Xbox, virtual reality glasses, wires, a bizarre robot. The walls are everywhere except the kitchen, black - Seryozha painted them himself. The robot also made it independently. A lone sweatshirt hangs in the chair, musical instruments are placed in the corners of the room: an electronic piano, two guitars, a smugus.

- Before they took Seryozha, he decided to study music, began to go to music school. He said that after four years he was going to play in the orchestra. In the last meeting he asked: "Mom, wash with the piano dust, please."

- This exhausted carpet is after the search?

- Yes.

On November 27, at 10 a.m., Lyudmila called to work, at the Pension Fund branch. Unknown, who refused to introduce herself, said that she needs to appear home, where the search would be held. She thought it was a rally or scammers, and hung up. Five minutes later, they called her again.

When asked what’s the matter, they answered her: “You will come - find out, otherwise they will start to break the door to you now.”

She was very scared and called the neighbor. She, in panic and bewilderment, said that the investigator came to her and showed a paper in which something was written about Seryozha. Lyudmila was more than an hour after her apartment. The investigator did not wait for her, but his assistant came, two witnesses, employees of the housing management company and an employee of the bodies with a shepherd. Before the shepherd was let into the house, Lyudmila took her two dogs to the neighbor.

- When the shepherd sniffed everything, the woman went into the car with her, and the district police officer called the door, brought in certificates. I gained impudence and opened them because I saw a photo of Serezhin's passport on them. I say: "What is it?" They say to me: "You do not have to look." I answer: "I'm a mother." I looked closely and realized that these were papers from a psychiatric dispensary and drug dispensary, which is not worth it. And the data of his passport. That is, everything was ready. And after an hour and a half, the assistant to the investigator with a grin took out the keys to Serezhina’s apartment. He says: Feed the cat, we have already taken it.

I say: "How could you mock me for an hour and a half?" “This is our work,” replies.

It was also important - in the decree with which the assistant to the investigator came, it was indicated that within four months after the unauthorized rally where Seryozha participated, the investigation led to his search. That is, from July 27. But he was not hiding anywhere! Our neighbor later said that when he looked out the window in the morning, he saw “masks-shows”: a black car and riot police in black masks. Seryozha generally said that they burst out with machine guns.

After the search of her own apartment, Luda ran to Serezhina, opened the door and numb. The garbage bag is turned to the floor, the cabinets are pushed away, all computers are dispersed, the wires are torn. It was not possible to find a cat, and Lyudmila in a shock state went back to work. By this moment, news about their son appeared on the Internet, colleagues showed them and said that the detention was some kind of mistake, and they would soon be released. After work, she returned to Seryozha an apartment, hastily cleaned, found and fed Tiffany. Soon, Vasily Kushnir, a lawyer from the OVD-info, contacted her. For three hours he was not allowed to Sergey, the interrogation was without a lawyer.

- I was surprised how quickly everything spread and helped. ATS-Info, liberated defendants in the “Moscow business”, volunteers from “prisoners” (draft prisoners 212). The neighbor says to me: “Lyudk, does it happen now? Volunteers? It cannot be, these are some kind of gaming. ” I answer: "I myself did not know until I plunged into it."

On December 7, I was called to the raid of parents of the political prisoners, there I met Natasha Konon ( the mother of the former defendant in the “Moscow case” Daniil Konon. - A. A. ), we now correspond, call up, her dogs are charm. The convict’s sister in the “network” case performed there ( the organization was recognized as terrorist and prohibited in Russia ), there were Muslims, relatives of convicts on Hizb Ut-Tahrir ( the organization was recognized in Russia with terrorist and prohibited ). I first found out that this is happening at all. We live, as in a shell, and then it got out and - my God ... They say that everything is fine, freedom of speech, but, it turns out, it is simply not. There is nothing.

- At a meeting with relatives, what were your sensations?

- Fighted, but I thought it would not help. The rush is so simple. But since the power reacts, delays, it means that she does not like it. Afraid. Why did they detain single pickets that day, because they are not prohibited? Afraid. Three mothers were taken to the police department. The main thing, they asked the guide, you can stand here. He says: "Now I will call, I will find out." He calls, and after a few minutes police funnels come, and they are taken away.

- You said that you thought, this rush will not help, but now how?

-Some ray flashed that the appeal ( the date is not yet known. - A. A. ), at least the deadline will decrease. I do not dream of liberation, because the authorities will not miss such an opportunity. The first shock passed, I realize that my son has an ongoing, firm character, that he bends his line, will not give himself offense. I saw on dates that he had a life rod, that he would not climb anywhere, he would not do anything bad, he thinks he says. I respect my son and his choice. Maybe I would do the same ( we are talking about a hunger strike. - A. A. ) in his place, because, as he said: “I can’t do anything else here. I use what I have. ”

Appeal to power

“If you knew that the president would read it, what would you tell him?”

- Probably, she would ask him to hold in his hands the Rosguard entrusted to him, because they commit complete lawlessness. And the investigation is good, because what happened to Sergey ... The video was not visible on the victim’s face, only one hand. I can’t say that it was sprinkled, because only a helmet and a hand was visible there. And they do not stand out in anything, the physique is average, there are many of them. Perhaps he was not there at all, wit.

My neighbor tells my son: "Do not go to such gatherings." I say: "Well, if you don’t walk, everything will remain!"

As it was (for shares)-they beat passers-by, people walk by, someone could not stand it, began to separate, they also attracted it. A normal person simply cannot pass by. Here is Andrei Barshay (the defendant of the “Moscow case”, at the moment, like Sergey, is in a pre-trial detention center 5 vodnik), who was taken away for a psychiatric examination, weighs less than 50 kilograms. What can he do, what harm to cause?!

Or maybe Putin does not know what is happening, maybe they don’t bring to him. I am more than sure, all this stops on the lower layers of power. If you convey to him the “Moscow business”, go to the dialogue ... but it does not work. If it happened, maybe half of the detainees would not have such sentences.

When I am going to leave, Luda wraps me with “bird's milk” with him, builds a beautiful bow from a satin tape on the box, then it caught on and runs into the room. Returns with coins in a bag.

- Seryozha and I met schoolchildren, in 2004, in the district chat Tushino. I was engaged in workout in the gym and mentioned this in correspondence, he became interested, and I called him to training. Sergei took a deeply rumbled in programming, IT, played sports (he is the CCM for powerlifting), and in his free time he played on an electric guitar and video games. We entered one institute, MAI, and after the university everyone went their own way. But we always remained in the know each other in one way or another, even though we communicated infrequently.

Seryozha’s communication has always been specific, with a large degree of jokes, self -irony and the breakdown of society patterns. Sometimes it was even difficult to make him talk objectively, already ran out at such moments. By virtue of his scientific image of thinking, Seryozha is always on his wave and thinks about a large number of things at the same time. At the same time, it never loads, loves to joke, it can be very distracted in household trifles ... Now such a person would be called a geek. He performs at powerlifting competitions - he came to him a couple of times with his friends, we supported him. In ordinary things, he never fails, a responsible person with a bunch of acquaintances, a large number of achievements. It will not work to recall something “wow” from our communication, because it consisted of all this. Memes, jokes, understandable only to us.

I heard about the “Moscow business” indirectly and, honestly, I did not dug up especially deeply. I watched the video from the Lubyanka, where everyone was detained almost for their views. All this caused the feeling of Tresh, the atmosphere of North Korea. Then I saw something briefly about the people who have already fallen under the investigation, read who received any sentences. It became clear that things were simply fabricated and there is an indicative lawsuit, the condemnation of innocent people. I am far from politics, but a person, as a rule, is of little interest to things, until this concerns his friends and relatives. It happened with me.

Под Новый год я листал новостную ленту и увидел заголовок в стиле «новый фигурант "московского дела" осужден на два с половиной года колонии». В этот момент в очередной раз стало стыдно за государство, я проскроллил чуть ниже и просто выпал в осадок. Увидел фотографию Сережи. Прочитал подписи. Речь действительно шла о Суровцеве. И тут накатило ощущение нереальности происходящего. Глубокое потрясение и сожаление. Начал гуглить всю имеющуюся информацию и увидел, что по отношению к нему это такие же несправедливые обвинения, как и остальные, расследование, длившееся один день. Я узнал о фигурантах дела, которым повезло и их отпустили, — не знаю, в адвокате ли дело или в их связях, но некоторые люди, к счастью, отделались штрафом или условным сроком. А в случае с Сережей — да и со многими другими участниками «московского дела» — это просто позор всем структурам, которые имеют к этому отношение. Что касается голодовки — это личное решение Сережи, оно очень сильное, и я его уважаю. Единственное — желаю, чтобы его здоровье не пострадало.
