In Peterhof, near house number 7 on Chebyshevskaya Street, a rally was held against the construction of objects for the processing and sorting of garbage. It is reported by the movement "Beautiful Petersburg".

The improvement committee previously announced the start of public discussion of the draft territorial scheme of waste management. It follows from the project that four garbage processing plants are planned to be placed between Petergof and Lomonosov, as well as in the villages of Saperer, Petro Slavsovka and Levashovo.

Protesters are afraid that factories will actually burn garbage. According to the coordinator of the “beautiful Petersburg” of Ksolir Vranks, from 200 to 300 people with “runes, not air”, “Peterhof is not a trash” and “against burning” came to the rally, Fontanka reports .

On Sunday, January 12, a similar rally will be held in Lomonosov. The action is agreed with the authorities.
