In Russia, fuel prices rose over the New Year holidays: in general, gasoline prices rose by 0.1%, and diesel - by 0.2%. Such data are provided by Rosstat.
A similar increase in gasoline prices was recorded six months ago, from July 23 to 29, 2019. Diesel prices have been rising for the eleventh week in a row, the reason for this could probably be the transition of drivers from the summer version of diesel fuel to the winter one.
Since the end of December, AI-92 gasoline has risen in price most of all: the increase in prices for the economical fuel option amounted to 0.2%, the prices for AI-95 and AI-98 are growing a little slower - by 0.1%. Thus, on average, a liter of AI-92 gasoline now costs 42.34 rubles.
The growth affected 49 Russian regions. The most noticeable price increase was recorded in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, where the cost per liter increased by 2.3%.
