The Meshchansky District Court imposed a fine of 160,000 rubles on Alexei Krivoruchko, judge Alexei Veresov, who was involved in the threat case. It is reported by Mediazona.

Veresov was found guilty under the article on threatening to kill a judge (part 1 of article 296 of the Criminal Code) for an aggressive comment under a post with a photo of judge Krivoruchko.

According to the prosecution, Krivoruchko read Veresov's commentary and perceived it "as a real threat to life and health." The accused pleaded guilty and supported the petition for a special procedure for the consideration of the case - without examining the evidence.

Veresov was detained on November 12 in the Udmurt village of Yakshur-Bodya and, after a search, he was taken to Moscow, accused of public calls for extremism on the Internet (part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code) and placed in a pre-trial detention center for 2 months. However, at the end of December, the investigation reclassified the charge, releasing him from the pre-trial detention center.
Sergei Polovets, Alexei Veresov and Evgeny Erzunov also became defendants in cases of threats to judge Alexei Krivoruchko.
Judge Aleksey Krivoruchko on September 16 sentenced actor Pavel Ustinov to three and a half years in prison under an article on the use of violence dangerous to health against a Russian guard (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code) during a protest on August 3. On September 30, the Moscow City Court changed Ustinov's sentence to one year's suspended sentence with a two-year probationary period.
