The court extended the arrest to ex-minister Abyzov
The court extended the arrest to the former Minister of Open Government Mikhail Abyzov until March 26. This means that he will remain in a pre -trial detention center for at least a year from the date of arrest.

Today, in the course of the court, Abyzov said that in the investigative isolator he acquired a nervous disorder, treatment and asked him to change the preventive measure. Read more about this here .
Abyzov was detained and placed under arrest at the end of March 2019. He is accused of several articles: the organization of a criminal community, especially large fraud, illegal entrepreneurial activity and the legalization of criminal income.
According to the prosecution, the ex-Minister created a criminal group of managers of his group “Ru-Com” and stole about 4 billion rubles from his own energy companies, putting “the sustainable economic development and energy security of a number of regions of the country”. Later, a network of offshore companies in Abyzov was discovered , through which he allegedly withdrew $ 770 million with the mediation of Swedbank.
The former minister considers accusations absurd and does not admit guilt. Nevertheless, he was not helped by the guarantee of the chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation, former Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, the head of Rusnano Anatoly Chubais, deputy chairman of VEB Natalia Timakova and billionaire Roman Trotsenko, who offered to pay 1 billion rubles for Abyzov, to get out of his arrest.
