“We have no dividends in the company. And I don’t have a regular salary.” Arkady Volozh - about the sale of part of the shares of Yandex

Arkady Volozh, co-founder and CEO of Yandex, confirmed his intention to sell a small part of his shares in the company. This is reported by the Prime agency.

“I have 95% of the assets in the shares of one company. If you were like that, would you diversify somehow? We don't have dividends in the company - not yet, at least. And I don’t have a regular salary,” Volozh said.

He called Yandex a "good, posh company" and added that he last sold its shares five or six years ago.

• January 22 "Yandex" reported that Arkady Volozh intends to sell approximately 4% of his shares in the company. Their market price is $90 million. After the sale, Volozh's share in the capital of Yandex will decrease from 9.9% to 9.3%.
• He will not be able to sell the remaining shares in the near future: when approving the new management structure of Yandex in November 2019, Volozh undertook not to sell 95% of his shares for two years.
