Land collector and defender of citizens

A particularly successful forum in memory of the Holocaust was for the President of Russia and the Prime Minister of Israel

“Everything will be fine,” said Vladimir Putin Yaf Issachar, the mother of the 26-year-old Israeli Naama, who was serving a term in the Russian colony on charges of drug smuggling, the pardon of which the Russian president is asked by the family, the public and the highest leadership of Israel.

By logic, everything should be so, but how else - after all, such a humane gesture after the Memory of Memory of the Holocaust completed on Thursday in Israel is more than appropriate. Moreover, the forum itself took place on the initiative and with the support of the President of the European Jewish Congress Vyacheslav Moshe Kantor, a large businessman and philanthropist, whom the Polish edition of Rzeczpospolita called the ace in the Putin College.

Vladimir Putin was really the main guest on the forum. It was to him that the first of the guests was given the first word. The performances were in this sequence: Israeli President Reuven Ruvlin, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the initiator of the forum Moshe Kantor, Russian President Vladimir Putin and immediately after him-US Vice President Mike Pence.

And during the subsequent performances, Putin, as the most honorable guest, sat between the president and the prime minister of Israel, who called him a “big friend” and shook his hand for a long time at the meeting.

Against the backdrop of all this, and even after the emotional speech, which Putin’s clearly moved, after the opening in the Jerusalem Park, the Sacker of the Memory of the Memory of Memory to the Heroes of the Blockade Leningrad, would even be strange to guess, returned to Issahar or not. Of course, they will return! Otherwise, the impressions of the visit of the Russian leader, and the entire forum as a whole will be spoiled. At least in Israel.

A little strange, however, the statement of Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov was made on Friday that it was possible to launch a pardon procedure only after a personal petition of a convicted person, which, incidentally, was not yet.

“How can you have mercy if a girl does not ask for pardon? You see, such a situation in this case. There should be some formalities observed at least for the process to go, ”said Peskov, referring to Russian laws.

There are possible options. According to the head of the Public Council at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of an lawyer Anatoly Kucheren, Naam Issahar can be sent to sit in their homeland, where she can be released. For this, only the appeals of the competent authorities of Israel to the Russian Ministry of Justice are necessary.

In general, the forum was a success. But more than for everyone else, he was a success for Putin and Netanyahu. And that's why.

If the “exchange” of the NAAMs for the Alexander Compound will actually take place, then Putin will once again confirm his image of the land collector and the defender of the global interests of the Motherland. The Alexander Compound is, of course, not Crimea, but in the very center of Jerusalem, the city of three religions. In addition, at the Putin forum, it was the opportunity to once again turn to the leaders of the main powers of the UN Security Council. “Hear us and let's cooperate” is the main meaning of the call, which this time suddenly and will hear.

Good relations with Israel now are of particular importance for Putin. Israel is perhaps the only country of the Western world, where the Russian president is accepted as a friend and relations with which are not overshadowed by sanctions and mutual claims.

Israel is like a door to the West, which is still open to Moscow.

As for Netanyahu, against the backdrop of the three charges of criminal crimes against him, a successful forum with the participation of 45 royal persons, presidents, prime ministers and speakers of parliaments is a good opportunity to patch up their image to the upcoming parliamentary elections on March 2-the third over the past year.

True, there is a nuance. If the supporters of the Israeli prime minister have already recorded the forum and the forum to him, and the likely return of Naama home, then his opponents (and no less) speak almost about neglect of national interests in order to achieve momentary political goals. This, of course, is wonderful that Israel stands a mountain for its citizens, but there is another side of the coin. Namely: if for one that (by stupidity or as a result of evil intent) the Israeli woman gives the tidbit of the Earth in the center of the capital, then what will they give if a dozen citizens of the country, whom a foreign state will want to use as trading objects in a foreign prison?

In this regard, they recall the story of Gida Shalit, an Israeli soldier-soldier, stolen in 2006 by militants of Hamas and returned in 2011 in exchange for 1027 (!) Palestinians sitting in Israeli prisons.
