According to the decision to initiate the case, the reason was a publication on VKontakte with a call to the “Bashkir political nation” to fight for “freedom, justice and equality” and the republic. At the end of the post there were details of Dilmukhametov’s mother’s card.

The resolution also provides excerpts from a psychological and linguistic examination: “Having carried out a number of manipulations and suggestive influences on the reader’s psyche, creating fear for the future in him, the author offers an effective, from his point of view, way to solve the problem - pay money and be sure that he, Airat Dilmukhametov, will solve all problems by becoming the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan.”
Since March 2019, Dilmukhametov has been in a pre-trial detention center in connection with a criminal case about calls for separatism on the Internet (Part 2 of Article 280.1 of the Criminal Code): because of a video message about his plans as president of the “Fourth Bashkir Republic”
