Don `t move! "Evening Medusa" is now completely captured by podcasts! Our podcast studio managed to record a lot of new and interesting things in the coming 2020, and of course, we can’t wait to tell you about it. Therefore, in today's newsletter - podcasts, only podcasts and once again podcasts.

🎞 The long-awaited comeback of "Rewind" after a long (very long!) vacation. The podcast, based on tapes from the family archives of our listeners, was not released for a full nine months. All this time, his team (and now the podcast is being released jointly with the Arzamas educational project) listened to the tapes that you sent, chose stories, talked to the characters and conducted a real investigation, for which they even had to send a request to the FSB. The result was a series of five episodes, each of which tells not only a personal story, but also the story of an entire era. The first issue is about a dispossessed peasant and his son: many years later he headed the collective farm, during the creation of which his father was repressed.

👩‍👧‍👦 The long-awaited launch of the "mother podcast" that everyone is arguing about. The hosts of our new podcast "You're a Mother" Alexandra Dovlatova, Anastasia Khartulari and Nastya Krasilnikova have chosen the following motto for themselves: "This is an honest conversation about motherhood." They talk about the fact that being a mother is, to put it mildly, not easy, and life with a child bears little resemblance to rainbow pictures from magazines. The release of the first episode provoked some serious discussions on social networks: some criticize the podcast for being “negative”, others thank you for its honesty. We have already received so many letters that we do not even have time to answer them all!

💳 New season of "Calculator" : investments for the lazy, investments for the harmful, investments in comics and wine. For 15 editions of the Calculator, its presenters Nazar Shchetinin and Natalia Gribulya taught listeners the basics of financial literacy: how to save money, where not to invest, and what these investments are in general. In the new season, the project will become more difficult - but also more interesting: Nazar and Natasha promise more investments (including unusual ones, for example, in comics and wine!). Of course, there will also be useful tips and heroes - for example, we will invite a modest Moscow scientist to the studio, who, thanks to investments, has become a millionaire (what?). So if you've been lazy all this time, it's time to stop - by the way, the first episode of the season is just for people like you.

📃 Sequel to Rosenthal and Guildenstern : Linguistics is not what it seems. In the second season of the podcast about the Russian language, Vladimir Pakhomov, editor-in-chief of the Gramota.ru website, and Alexander Sadikov, a journalist (and also the chief producer of our podcast studio), will continue to dissect the great and mighty. But not only. The emphasis is on linguists, who not only fix new language norms, but even help develop smart gadgets and resolve language disputes. A bottle of martini, for example. The first issue of the season is here , it is about Russian language help services. Yes, there are some.

🍽 Family tales in "Complicated shchi" - from Tatyana Tolstaya, Anton Dolin, Alena Sviridova and others. Last season, the deputy editor-in-chief of the Gastronom magazine and the brand chef all rolled into one, Marianna Orlinkova, it seems, sorted out all the gastronomic scandals of the Internet, and now it's time for cozy family stories. They are told to Marianna by the writer Tatyana Tolstaya (the issue with her will be released on the last day of January), film critic Anton Dolin, translator Viktor Sonkin, singer Alena Sviridova and many others. Recipes, of course, will remain - where without them in conversations about food.

• fathers from "First give birth" (and recorded an issue with an artificial host and direct inclusion from a volcanic crater);
• our very first podcast "Text of the Week" (and changed the host - now the chief producer of the podcast studio Alexander Sadikov talks about the best materials of Meduza);
• editor of the English-language Medusa Kevin Rothrock and his The Naked Pravda (and immediately took up "battle memes" and conspiracy theories);
• Anton Dolin (and continued to tell his "History of Cinema").

And fans of the "Book Bazaar" will wait for his return on February 5 - Galina Yuzefovich and Anastasia Zavozova will talk about Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings".
