Judge of the Moscow City Court Elena Pospelova softened the measure of restraint for underage Kirill Kuzminkin, accused under articles on the manufacture of explosives (part 1 of article 223.1 of the Criminal Code) and their illegal carrying and storage (part 1 of article 222.1 of the Criminal Code). This is reported by Novaya Gazeta.
The meeting was held behind closed doors. Listeners were allowed only to read the resolution.
“Reject the petition of the investigation to extend the house arrest. Change the preventive measure to a ban on certain actions until April 27, ”Novaya Gazeta quotes the words of Judge Pospelova during the announcement.
Kuzminkin changed the measure of restraint to the prohibition of certain actions. As Vladislav Barabanov told OVD-Info, this preventive measure was extended to Kuzminkin for three months, until April 28, 2020.
The court pointed out that the investigation violated the deadlines for submitting the materials of the criminal case for review: the investigators had to provide the case materials for review no later than one month before the end of the maximum period of the preliminary investigation (12 months). However, the investigation provided the materials two months later than it was required by law.
Now the accused is forbidden to leave the house from 22 to 7 in the morning, receive and send correspondence, communicate with witnesses in the case, their relatives and lawyers, attend public events, and it is forbidden to use the Internet and telephone.
