The presidential administration was allowed to receive two more cars with flashing lights

President Vladimir Putin allowed the presidential administration to use two more cars with special signals. A new decree on this was published on the official portal of legal information.

The document states that Kremlin officials will have 25 vehicles with flashing lights. According to the current version of the decree “On the streamlining of devices for giving special light and sound signals installed on vehicles” dated July 16, 2019, the presidential administration had only 23 such vehicles.

Previously, Putin appointed former Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak as deputy head of the presidential administration. After Kozak's appointment, the number of deputy heads of the presidential administration increased from two to three.

On the same day, former Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky and ex-head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin became assistants to the president.

Putin approved the list of government agencies that can use special signals in transport in 2012. Then 596 of these vehicles were left for government officials, and almost 200 went to the FSB.

At the same time, the president prohibited the installation of flashing lights on the cars of officials “whose duties do not involve the implementation of urgent actions to protect the life and health of citizens.”
