

The American ground solar telescope took the most detailed pictures of the surface of the Sun in history. For the first time, objects of up to 30 kilometers are visible to them. Scientists are sure that the pictures obtained will help them advance in understanding and forecasting the activity of the star.
One of the photographs was published on the website of the National Solar Laboratory - it shows a close -up of the surface of the sun with a “boiling” plasma.

Medusa notes that the substance rises from the inside of the sun, and goes back to the surface on the periphery. Thus, energy is delivered from the internal regions of the star to external (convection occurs).
The pictures were taken using the Dkist telescope, which is located in Hawaii. With it, scientists plan to build a full map of the surface of the star and its atmospheric fields and crown, as well as explain flashes on the surface of the sun.
