On January 31, the Myasnikovsky District Court of the Rostov Region fined local resident Fyodor Porksheyan 10,000 rubles under an article on violation of public order for protesting against the construction of a landfill. This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".
According to the court, on November 27, 2019, pensioner Fyodor Porksheyan “was on the carriageway in the Veseliy farm to prevent the passage of heavy vehicles, and ignored the demand of the police to clear the passage.”
Fedor Porksheyan does not agree with the punishment and intends to appeal the fine. “In the photographs presented in court, I am nowhere near. (...) In my entire life, there were no drives even to the police, and now, I began to defend my region from an environmentally dangerous object, and problems began, ”the publication quotes Porksheyan as saying.
Georgy Zaporozhtsev, a resident of the Veseloye farm, who was also previously fined for “obstructing the passage of a truck crane,” noted that three police officers were interviewed at Porksheyan’s court, who could not explain exactly how Fedor Porksheyan committed any offense.
