The prosecution asks to limit familiarization with the case of the accused of attacking an FSB officer

On February 5, the investigator petitioned to limit until February 9 the time for familiarization with the case of Artem Zagrebelny from Krasnoyarsk, accused of assaulting an FSB officer (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). This was reported to OVD-Info by Alexey Pryanishnikov, coordinator of the Human Rights Postcards.

The investigator explained the limitation of the period of familiarization by the fact that the prosecutor's office demands that the case be brought to court as soon as possible.

It is currently unknown whether Zagrebelny's persecution is politically motivated.

“Apparently, the visit of the FSB operatives was intended to collect materials on Zagrebelny on one of the“ extremist ”compositions. During the "visit" something went wrong, the employees, dressed in civilian clothes, did not show their service cards, there was a skirmish.

As for such a wild acceleration of the preliminary investigation, I still believe that this is the arbitrariness of specific law enforcement officers seeking to curry favor with an influential special service, whose employees provoked the incident with their behavior, ”Alexey Pryanishnikov comments on the situation.

In the fall of 2019, unknown people attacked Zagrebelny in the entrance, towards whom he sprayed pepper spray. It turned out that they were FSB officers in civilian clothes. A Krasnoyarsk citizen was detained with the participation of SOBR fighters and beaten in a minibus, later on the same day he was searched, during which the operatives threatened the young man with initiation of criminal cases under articles on the attempt on the life of a representative of the authorities (Article 317 of the Criminal Code) in connection with the morning events in entrance and about calls for terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) in connection with correspondence on the Internet.

On February 6, the Sverdlovsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk refused to satisfy the investigation's request to limit the time for familiarization with the case materials, reports . MBKh Media
