Five employees of the prosecutor's office of Chuvashia wrote letters of resignation due to reluctance to "participate in the political and personnel struggle of [the republic's prosecutor] Vasily Poslovsky with the Prosecutor General's Office," reports " 7x7 " with reference to the employees' complaint to the Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov.
In January, ex-Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika severely reprimanded Poslovsky for “tactless and sometimes offensive remarks” to his subordinates. After this, according to the resigned employees of the prosecutor’s office, the prosecutor of Chuvashia began to put pressure on the workers who told the commission of the Prosecutor General’s Office about the behavior of the boss: he demanded to retract their words and slander the inspectors.
The authors of the complaint believe that Poslovsky wanted to have the disciplinary sanction removed from him. “The total number of dismissed employees of the Chuvashia prosecutor’s office during Poslovsky’s reign will reach 88 people - and this is not the limit,” they say.
