The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow ordered the Ministry of Finance to pay 150,000 rubles to Alexei Minyailo, an ex-defendant in the Moscow case, for unlawful prosecution. It is reported by MBH Media.
At the same time, in his lawsuit, Minyailo demanded the payment of 1.5 million rubles as compensation for moral damage, losses and damage to business reputation. “The lawsuit deals with torture conditions, moral harm from injustice and lawlessness, the insecurity of the conditions for leaving the hunger strike,” the publication quotes the activist as saying during the trial.
At the meeting, he said that while he was in the pre-trial detention center, during the inspection he was forced to squat naked and turned on loud music. He is going to appeal the decision of the Tverskoy Court.
There was no representative of the Ministry of Finance at the meeting. The Ministry sent a response statement to the court that Minyailo's case was dismissed due to non-rehabilitating circumstances.
