ShiES: The court recognized the legitimate cancellation of a stop for passenger trains

The Komi Arbitration Court recognized the refusal of the FAS management in the republic to initiate a case against Russian Railways, which canceled the passenger stop at ShiES station, the 7x7 Internet magazine said .

In court, the representative of the antimonopoly service said that the ShIES station is unprofitable for Russian Acts, so passenger trains do not stop there. There were no requests for the opening of the stop.

The plaintiff-the Society "Protective"-indicated that the station was used, but to deliver a limited number of citizens, including employees of Technopark, a company-investor of the garbage training ground. The court did not investigate the video evidence.

In June 2019, the Russian Railways company stopped selling tickets to ShiES station, and the train stopped stopping on it. It was transferred from the passenger station to the technical. Eco -activists turned to the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Komi. OFAS did not find violations and refused to initiate an administrative case against Russian Railways.

The construction of the garbage training ground at Shiies began in July 2018. Environmentalists believe that the storage of millions of tons of unsorted garbage in a marshy area can lead to an environmental disaster.

The protests against the landfill in the north began in August of the same year in Urdom, then they were supported in Syktyvkar and Arkhangelsk. Protests in the Komi and the Arkhangelsk region are still not stopped.

In early January, the Arbitration Court of the Arkhangelsk Region recognized the buildings for the future garbage training ground at Shies. "Technopark" was given one month to demolish buildings. The company appealed to this decision. The complaint entered the Vologda court on February 5.
