In St. Petersburg, a 10-year-old girl was tested for coronavirus without her parents' knowledge. Doctors and Rospotrebnadzor employees were promised punishment

A resident of St. Petersburg contacted the regional commissioner for children's rights because doctors and employees of Rospotrebnadzor took tests from her daughter when her parents were not home.

The children's ombudsman's office reported that on January 30, specialists tested a girl who had returned from China a week earlier for the new coronavirus infection .

The child's mother said that the tests were taken when the parents were not at home, and they did not give their consent for the test. The woman called on the commissioner to punish the culprits.

Rospotrebnadzor confirmed that the service's employees and doctors from the district polyclinic took tests from the child. The children's ombudsman's office promised that those responsible would be subject to disciplinary action for abuse of power.
