Children from Russia died in the frontal clash of boats in Thailand

On the morning of February 10, two tourist high -speed boats collided in Thailand, off the east coast of Phuket Island. Two children from Russia, brother and sister, died, about twenty more people were injured. The captains of both boats are detained. The preliminary reason for the tragedy: the captain of one of the boats violated safety precautions.

The dead - a six -year -old girl and a twelve -year -old boy from the Chelyabinsk region - were a brother and sister. Yaroslav and Miroslava (the names of the dead leads Phuket News) rested on the island with grandparents. The death of children to the Russian Embassy in Thailand was confused in one of the hospitals. In total, there were 35 passengers, a guide-Tama and three crew members on the injured boat. Of these, about 20 were injured of various severity, almost everyone at the moment has already been released from medical institutions. Interfax said that the grandfather and grandfather of the dead children remain in the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on violation of traffic safety rules. The head of the UK Alexander Bastrykin instructed employees of the central apparatus to take control of the investigation of the emergency.
