The Troitsky District Court of Moscow fined civil activist Anna Bulbasova 150 thousand rubles for participating in a round dance with pickets on New Year's Eve. “Apology of Protest” reports this on its telegram channel.
Bulbasova was found guilty of repeated violation of the rules for holding mass events (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). She and 12 other people were detained on the evening of December 31 in the center of Moscow and taken to the Troitsk police department. After the arrests, they were released, but in the following days they were again called to the police to draw up reports.
The materials of the case cited by Apology of Protest claim that on the evening of December 31, “participants of a mass event of at least 13 people organized a round dance. Then, one by one, citizens emerged from it (at intervals of 5–10 minutes) and unfurled pre-prepared means of visual propaganda—placards with inscriptions.”
Previously, the Trinity Court fined three round dance participants 15 thousand rubles each. At the same time, the police dropped the cases of nine people detained on New Year's Eve.
