On Kolyma, the authorities are going to close 10 villages

In the Magadan region, the closure of 10 settlements is discussed, in Primorye - two more villages. About 1090 families live there. The residents of the closing villages of the authorities exempted from payment of contributions for overhaul, the law was published by the Russian Newspaper.

"In the Magadan region, these are, as a rule, the villages that arose about gold mining artels. Gold was exhausted. There are no other city -forming enterprises. Therefore, the Federal Interdepartmental Commission adopted a conclusion on the appropriateness of the closure of these villages. However, there was no order of the government’s disposal," the deputy chairman of the State Duma committee on regional politics and the problems of the North and the Far East Oksana explained Bondar.

Residents of the villages who decide to close, from March, may not pay for overhaul. In addition, they will be returned to their contributions accumulated for this service.

So far, supporting repairs will be carried out in the houses, because the resettlement of the last residents can take months and years, the publication notes.
