In 2020, the CONTEXT festival. Diana Vishneva will be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg in two stages-in June-July and in October.
The festival will open the festival at the Mossovet Theater The performance "Examiner" of Kidd Pivot (Canada) in the production of choreographer Crystal Piet. The program will continue the single -acting ballets “Jester” and “Scheherazad” of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater in the production of Alexei Miroshnichenko. The main parties in the performance “Shaherezada” will be performed by Diana Vishneva and the leading soloist of the National Ballet of Canada Evan McCa.
At the end of June, Moscow and St. Petersburg spectators will see the co -product of the Context festival. Diana Vishneva with the company "Batsheva" (Israel)-the cabaret show "Playback" in the production of choreographer Ohad Naarin.
In the autumn part of the Israel program will be represented by the play “Time of My Life)” of the SOL dance company in the production of choreographer Ayal Dadon. For the first time, Italian artists will take part in the festival: Christian Morganti, who for more than 20 years was a soloist of the Wuppeal dance theater, will show the play-lecture “Moving with Pina” (“Moving with Pina”)-a journey through the Pina Baush universe.
In addition to foreign performances in the fall, the festival will host an evening of young choreographers. Applications for the competition are accepted on the ContextFest.com website from February 11 to May 15.
The new initiative of the festival, the CONTEXT Open project, provides an opportunity to present their work to choreographers, dancers and companies - without age, genre, education or citizenship. Open Call was announced last year, for the show at the festival, the performance “Air” Olga Labovkina was chosen.
In addition, the organizers of the festival prepare a parallel program (lectures, master classes, meetings with the audience) and the film program (in the autumn). They will be announced additionally.
The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Department of Culture of the city of Moscow, the Embassy of Israel in Russia, the Italian Institute of Culture in Moscow
