Maslenitsa program in Nikola-Lenivtsa has been announced

On February 29, at the celebration of Shrovetide in the art park “Nikola-Lenivts” in the Kaluga region, the artist Oleg Zhukovsky and his La Pushkin Theater will perform with a performance. The performance will end with the burning of an art object in the form of a large bridge from dried.

In 2019, for the first time, an open international competition was held to create the best concept of an art object for Shrovetide, in which 174 projects from different countries from Ecuador to France and Poland participated. The winner of the competition was the project “Burning bridges” of the St. Petersburg Architectural Bureau Katarsis .

The construction of an art object in the form of a large bridge began at the end of December and will end on the eve of the celebration of Shrovetide. The bridge is built from a dumb, damaged by a beetle, spoiled pallets from the production of the Kaluga region, straw and wooden construction waste. The height of the object is 20 m, the length is 54 m.
