Participants in a picket against the Network case were detained in Moscow

In Moscow, at the monument to Griboedov, members of the Libertarian Party of Russia Alexei Tarasov and Timur Naumov were detained during pickets in support of figures in the Network case. The detainees themselves reported this to the OVD-Info telegram bot. The information was confirmed by the human rights coordinator of the decision maker.

According to Naumov, he did not directly participate in the picket, but filmed the action on video.

The detainees were taken to the police station in the Basmanny district.

18:44 At the monument to Griboyedov, two more picketers were also detained: Bessrochka supporter from St. Petersburg Anton Grachev and member of the LPR Mikhail Shulyaev. A lawyer from OVD-Info, Dmitry Zakhvatov, went to see the detainees.

On February 12, Judge Artur Karpov of the Basmanny District Court imposed fines of one thousand rubles on Anton Grachev and Alexey Tarasov under the article on failure to comply with police requirements (Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code), reports the head of the legal service of OVD-Info, Ekaterina Seleznyova. The picketers were defended by lawyers from OVD-Info Olga Pelshe and Dmitry Zakhvatov.

• On February 10, 2020, a court in Penza announced the verdict to those accused of creating the “terrorist community “Network”; the defendants in the case received sentences of up to 18 years.
