Kaliningrad: Residents collect money for the reconstruction of the castle of the XIV century

In Kaliningrad, they launched funds to restore the castle of the 14th century. For this, an autonomous non-profit organization "Museum-Zamyok Ragnate" was created. So far, about four million rubles are needed, which are needed to punch the territory and restore the entrance group.

The castle under the lease was transferred in the summer of 2019 to the local resident Ivan Artyukh. The owner of the building is the Russian Orthodox Church since 2010. She did not conduct any reconstruction of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Volunteers every weekend clear the territory of the castle. Among them are elderly local residents and adolescents serving a sentence at a closed -type school. “Now we need to stop destruction. We will pour the entrance group with a special composition, since the brick falls, unfortunately,” Artyukh said. “We want to complete the first large -scale work by May. Then we will conduct excursions here.”

The Order Castle "Ragnate" was built in the 13th century. Later, the building was rebuilt under the prison. The castle was severely damaged during the Second World War.
