The girl's father told Znak.com that his daughter fell ill on February 8. The parents began calling the clinic, but no one answered them. Later it turned out that the hospital is not open on weekends. The parents decided not to call an ambulance, fearing that they would not be allowed to stay in the hospital with the child. On the morning of February 10, they started calling the clinic again, they managed to call a doctor 2.5 hours later, the pediatrician did not come until the evening.
As Natalya Akhtaryanova, the chief physician of the Zlatoust city children's hospital, explained, during the flu epidemic in the city the number of medical calls increases. On February 8, the hospital was open, calls were received from eight in the morning until two in the afternoon.
In January, a seven-year-old girl died in the city children's clinical emergency hospital of Novosibirsk while waiting for an ambulance. The child’s mother stated that when her daughter had a new attack of epilepsy, they had to call doctors for a long time; the doctor came after the girl stopped breathing.
