Over the past days, Türkiye introduced 12 thousand military personnel into the territory of the Syrian province of Idlib. A source of Novaya in Antrivia (Hatai) reports that two tank brigades with a total number of 200 cars were deployed in the territory of this Turkish border city. At 23 hours on February 12, tanks began to cross the border with Syria. In addition, in the same place, in the Antitlean, there are another 3,500 Turkish fighters in the reserve. The airspace over Idlib is closed by Turkey: everything that flies will be shot down.
Entering the troops into the territory of Syria, Türkiye remains within the framework of international law. According to the Adan Treaty between Turkey and Syria, concluded in 1998, Türkiye received the right to send ground forces to the territory of Syria in the event that it admits "activities that threaten the security and stability of Turkey."
And such a day, according to Turkey, has come.

The Turks gave the Syrians the time until the end of the month, so that they allocated their troops beyond the boundaries of the de -escalation zones, otherwise they will smash the Assad army. According to the military contingent, Türkiye is the second country in NATO bloc, it is impossible even to compare its power with the power of the Syrian army.
Who does the Assad’s army remain to be counted on?
The de -escalation zones in the Idlib region with joint Russian and Turkish patrols were installed during negotiations between Russia and Turkey in Sochi in 2017. According to these agreements, Russia and Türkiye provided a demilitarized zone with a depth of 15 - 25 kilometers around Idlib, thereby breeding the army of Bashar Assad and various opposition groups that found a shelter in Idlib - the last stronghold of resistance.
It was assumed that Russia is a guarantor of compliance with these agreements and the Syrian side. However, Syria of the agreement was repeatedly violated. On February 3 and February 10, more than ten military personnel killed in Turkish observation posts. Last week, the Syrian army crossed the boundaries of the de -escalation zone and captured several villages inside.
The fighters of the regime excavated mass burials of people who died during the conflict, and took pictures with their remains - these photos and videos blew up the Middle Eastern social networks.
The situation was aggravated by two facts: these burials were in the territory of the villages, previously occupied by the opposition, therefore, the remains belonged to the opponents of the Assad army. Moreover, these remains belonged to the Sunnis, and the people who abused them were Shiites and Alavites. The Turks are the Sunns, like the main population of Idlib. And the abuse of graves caused a terrible insult to their religious feelings.
Türkiye made it clear that she did not intend to forgive this.

On February 11, presumably the opposition forces, a Syrian military helicopter was shot down, which bombed the suburbs of Idlib. On board were four Assad army officers, they all died. There are no guarantees that this will not happen to Russian aircraft, as it had already happened before - in the same area, under the nose of Turkey.
Recall that in November 2015, the Russian Su-24 m fighter was shot down over the Turkish-Syrian border, it was attacked by the Turkish F-16 fighter. According to the official Turkish position, the Russian fighter entered the Turkish airspace. This was not true: the plane fell on Syrian territory. Both crew members were baptized, the pilot was shot in the air by fighters of the anti -government group, and the navigator was saved, a mission was sent behind him, which delivered him to Khmeimim.
In February 2018, another Russian fighter, Su-25, was shot down over Idlib. This time, it was not the Turks attacked him, but by the militants of the Hayyut Tahrir Ash Sham from the MANPADS banned in Russia.
The pilot catapulted, however, having been surrounded, he made a self -break.
Modern wars have repeatedly demonstrated to us: when planes begin to fall over the battlefield - this is a sure sign that one of the participants in the conflict intends to reconfigure the balance in their favor. Previously, Türkiye made it clear to Russia: in Idlib, the main player with whom she had to deal with, this is not an opposition, namely Türkiye. And now Turkey does not like active Russian airstrikes of recent months in the Idlib province. The goals of these airstrikes are often hospitals and schools.
Despite the fact that the Kremlin fiercely denies this fact, Syrian opposition social networks are full of evidence of Russian bombing, the Middle Eastern and Western media publish data interceptions of the Russian base of the Russian base Khmeimim, correlate the time of the bombardrs and strike on civilian facilities.
On the other hand, the sources of the “new” in Idlib say that terrorists really use civil objects as a shelter, and thereby bring Russian and Syrian aviation on these objects. During this terrible campaign, several hundred civilians have already died.
However, what is truly annoying Erdogan is the defiantly disregard of the Syrians to Sochi agreements at the highest political level.
This is a big question for Russia: why, despite the agreements between Putin and Erdogan, despite Putin’s enormous influence on Assad, destabilization in the Idlib province continues? Here, Russia and Türkiye are faced with another noticeable player on the Syrian field, namely with Iran.
The Syrian army in Idlib is represented by the following units: 4 Corps of the SAA corps, fighters of the Hesbollah armed Shiite group from Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, fighters of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Corps, as well as other Shiite groups of the Middle Eastern region, controlled by Iran.
The fourth corps of the Syrian army is under the command of General Maher Assad, his brother President Bashar al -Assad. Maher Assad was the closest comrade Kasem Suleimani, recently killed by the Americans of the head of Al Kuds, the elite special forces of the Iranian KSIR.
The choice of allies in the war is the subject of an acute conflict between the brothers Bashar and Maher.

Iran wants to strengthen its own influence in Syria and with all its might supplants Russia from Idlib.
It is in the framework of this confrontation that the recent execution of the four officers of the Central Executive Committee of the FSB is fitting: this was nothing more than a message from the Right forces of Russia.
For Russia, in the current situation, the bets are more high than ever: the entire image of the largest player in the Middle Eastern region is at risk. And this is if not talking about human losses.
