In Dagestan, searches were carried out at the homes of human rights activists collaborating with the “Legal Initiative”

In Khasavyurt and Makhachkala, law enforcement officers raided the offices of organizations working to protect the rights of victims of domestic violence and cooperating with the Justice Initiative project. This was announced on Facebook by the press secretary of the project Ksenia Babich. The information is also confirmed by Novaya Gazeta.

Babich specified that in Khasavyurt the search is being carried out in the office of lawyer Malika Abubakarova, and in Makhachkala, investigative actions are being carried out at the homes of several other human rights activists. As a basis for the search, the security forces referred to the decision of the Nalchik court, which stated that the measures must be carried out “to check under articles on organizing mass riots (part 1 of article 212 of the Criminal Code) and financing extremist activities (part 2 of article 282.3 of the Criminal Code) ".

In the office of the lawyer Abubakarova, all equipment was confiscated.
