Participants in the “picket line” in support of those involved in the “Network” case were detained in Moscow and St. Petersburg

In Moscow, on Lubyanka Square, where single pickets are taking place in support of those involved in the “Network” case, activist Viktor Nemytov was detained. This was reported to OVD-Info by an eyewitness to the events, reporter of the YouTube channel “RaZZoR OFF” Fedor Khudokormov.

Before his arrest, Nemytov stood in line at the site of a single picket near the FSB building on Lubyanka Square. Activists of the pro-Kremlin movement SERB snatched and tore the picketer’s poster and were detained. Nemytov was also detained along with two SERB members.

Now Nemytov and two SERB members are in a paddy wagon, next to Lubyanka Square. Nemytov was not informed of the reason for his detention.

The detainees were brought to the Luzhniki police station. Nemytov was told that they would have a preventive conversation with him.

20:30. The detainees were released from the police department.

20:58 In Moscow, near the FSB building, the police detained a man who tried to snatch a poster from a picketer and was dissatisfied with the ongoing event. An eyewitness said that he also pushed the girl, and is ready to confirm this. The police took them both away.

21:05 In St. Petersburg, near Gostiny Dvor, Irina Smetanina was detained, who was standing near the picket line in support of those involved in the “Network” case. She herself told OVD-Info about this.

According to her, she did not stand in the queue itself, but was nearby. She held a folded poster in her hands. The police demanded that Smetanina show her documents, and after she refused, they detained her. They are going to take her to the 28th police department.

22:15 Smetanina was released without a protocol. Before this, she was taken to the 78th police department, where her fingerprints were taken (dactyloscopy was performed). Then they transported me to department 28, where they released me.

The title has been changed due to the appearance of information about the arrest in St. Petersburg.

• On February 10, 2020, a court in Penza announced the verdict to those accused of creating the “terrorist community “Network”; the defendants in the case received sentences of up to 18 years.
• The defendants in the case, including Shakursky, Pchelintsev, Chernov and Sagynbaev, alleged psychological pressure, electric shock, beatings and planted weapons. • A criminal case against the “terrorist community “Network” was opened in October 2017. According to the FSB, 11 young people in Penza and St. Petersburg organized the terrorist community “Network” and were planning to overthrow the government.
