Hockey players "Ak Bars" prematurely won the Eastern Conference of the KHL

The Kazan "Ak Bars" defeated the Omsk Avangard on its ice in the National Hockey League (KHL) regular championship match and won the Eastern Conference ahead of schedule.

The owners of Tatneft Arena were 5-0 by the 53rd minute after the goals of Emil Galimov, Stanislav Galieva, Justin Azevedo, Dmitry Voronkov and Mikhail Fisenko. At the finish, they loosened the grip, allowing Rob Klinkhammer, Yegor Martynov and Pavel Dedunov to distinguish themselves.

The Kazan scored 89 points and won the KHL eastern conference ahead of schedule, Avangard with 82 points is in second place. Both teams have already secured their exit in the playoffs and the advantage of the home site in the first round.
