The production of the legendary Soviet "Saratov" was stopped for unprofitability

The release of the legendary Saratov refrigerators has been terminated from February 18, 2020 due to unprofitability. This was reported in the social networks of the governor by the Saratovites with reference to the general director of the company-owner of the plant. The Saratov Electric Ground Production Association belongs to private individuals.

Later, the information was confirmed: instead of refrigerators, the plant will try to produce other products (the plant already produces components of aircraft engine) and try to save jobs, they said in the governor’s apparatus.

The refrigerators under the Saratov brand have been produced since 1951 and since then 27 models of all kinds of configuration have been released.
