The exhibition "Tattoo" will be held in the Plane

On March 3, in the gallery of art of Europe and America of the XIX-XX centuries of the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin (Physician) will open an exhibition "Tattoo" dedicated to the art of tattoos.

The exhibition was organized by the MiMia together with the Museum on the Branley Named after Jacques Shirak (Paris) with the participation of the State Hermitage, the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography named after Peter the Great Russian Academy of Sciences (Kunstkamera), the State Historical Museum, the Russian State Library, the artist of Vim Delwois, the artist Fabio Vile and private collectors.

Earlier, the project was successfully presented in different museums of the world (Museum on the embankment of Branly named after Jacques Shirak, the Royal Museum of Ontario, the Field Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Natural History of Los Angeles, the Gaosyun Museum of Extreme Arts). The Moscow show will be supplemented by objects of decorative and applied and fine arts from Russian museums and private collections.

The exposition will include about two hundred works-painting, graphics, photography, sculpture, objects of traditional and decorative art, archival and ethnographic materials.

The exhibition will tell you about the stages of development of tattoos in different regions of the world on the example of various materials: from objects of traditional art to works of contemporary artists. The works of tattoo-masters active today will be shown at the volumetric silicone models created specifically for the exhibition-blinds from the parts of the body of real people.

Among the artists who have completed the projects of tattoos, the leading modern masters from around the world: Philip Liu, Henk Schiffmaker, Jack Rudy, Guy Atchson, Alex Binny, Dr. Lacra, Tin-Tin, Paul Bout, Khoryysi III, Leo Suluet.

The exhibition "Tattoo" in the art gallery of the countries of Europe and America of the XIX - XX centuries will last until May 31 .
