The court sentenced the seventeenth participant in the rally in Ingushetia

The Zheleznovodsk City Court of Stavropol sentenced Dzhokhar Aliyev to 1 year and eight months in a colony settlement for the participants of the rally in Magas. This was reported by MBKh Media.

Aliyev was found guilty of using violence against a government official (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, the protester threw chairs and stones at the security forces.

Aliyev himself claims that he ended up at the rally by accident, as he was leaving the sports complex, which is located near the square where the rally took place.

This is already the seventeenth verdict in the case of protests in Ingushetia. Criminal cases began to be opened against protesters after the March protests in Magas due to the establishment of a new administrative border with neighboring Chechnya.

Security forces from other regions arrived in Ingushetia to disperse the protesters, but in response they were pelted with chairs and stones. The protest leaders were accused of organizing an extremist community.
