Early Sunday morning (Moscow time) in Las Vegas a long-awaited boxing match will take place, in which WBC world champion American Deontay Wilder and former WBA Super, WBO, IBF and IBO world champion Tyson Fury from Great Britain will compete.
In anticipation of the fight, the athletes underwent an official weigh-in procedure. Wilder weighed 231 pounds (104.4 kg), while Tyson Fury weighed 19.4 kg more at 273 pounds (123.8 kg).
"I'm not worried about Tyson Fury's weight. I've always fought big guys who were bigger than me. This will only slow Fury down in the end. If he puts his weight on me, I'll just beat him. Let him get in the ring. I'm not worried about him weight," the American was quoted as saying by BoxingScene .
This will be the second confrontation between Wilder and Fury. The boxers first met in December 2018, then a draw was recorded after 12 rounds.
Wilder has 42 wins (41 by knockout) in 43 professional boxing fights, while Fury has 29 wins and one draw in 30 fights.
