Regional trains will follow without stopping in cities where people who could have contact with the infection. The same measures were taken in the city in Eugeneo, where the Italian who died in Padua lived.

In the cities affected by the epidemic, any mass and sporting events are prohibited, including carnival processions, and trading activities, with the exception of primary necessity. The quarantine is declared for 14 days.

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte did not exclude the possibility of suspension of the Schengen agreement to prevent the distribution of coronavirus, but noted that so far there is no need. "So far, we believe that Schengen is not necessary in the suspension of Schengen, but if there are conditions that require the maximum precaution, we are ready to go to any measures to protect the public health," said Comte (quote for TASS).

At the moment, the obligatory quarantine in coronavirus is two weeks, however, several cases have been revealed when the symptoms of the disease were manifested in infected people much later. So, in a resident of the Shennjia district in the Chinese province of Hubay, symptoms appeared only after 27 days. In another case, the symptoms of coronavirus were found only after 38 days. This means that the incubation period of the disease can last longer than two weeks.

The head of the World Health Organization ( WHO ) Tedros Adan Goebreesus expressed concern with the number of cases of coronavirus infection outside China, who do not have direct epidemiological communication: for example, people who did not go to China and did not have contacts with sick patients. According to WHO, 1,200 people in 26 countries fell ill outside the PRC, eight people died.

Of particular concern, according to Goebreyesus, are caused by cases of coronavirus infection in Iran, where four people have died over the past two days, and the possible spread of coronavirus in countries with a weak healthcare system.

The head of the WHO noted that 80% of patients will recover, since their disease proceeds in a mild form. However, 20% are in a serious or critical state, in some it reaches septic shock and multiple organ failure. According to Goebreesus, the growing number of cases of coronavirus transmission outside China shows that "a window of possibilities to contain this virus is narrowing."
