The rally was attended by three deputies of the Legislative Assembly - Maxim Reznik, Nadezhda Tikhonov and Boris Vishnevsky. Reznik said that the "lawlessness of the guardsmen" is coming from the "irremovability of power." According to Vishnevsky, the case of the "network" shows that "people can be condemned for 20 years for non-existent crimes, because someone wanted a new star or apartment."

Among the speakers were presented left movements, the father of the accused Julia Boyarshinov, Nikolai Boyarshinov, also performed. He said that in court he did not hear "anything that can be given for such terms for." Former member of the public observation commission, Ekaterina Kasarevskaya, recalled that two years ago the accused Viktor Filinkov was the first to declare from the FSB and showed observers traces of the electric shocker.

The rally participants were supported by the Rhythms of Resistance Rhythms - under the drum fraction they chanted slogans, demanding to terminate the case of the "network" and torture of the accused.

At the end, Evgeny Kulakova read out the appeal of the Petersburg accused Viktor Filinkov and Julia Boyarshinov. Their trial will begin on February 25. “Julius says that he does not despair and did not expect a miracle from the sentence to the guys from Penza,” Kulakova said Boyarshinov’s words.

On February 10, the Volga District Military Court in Penza sentenced the seven accused in the case of the "network" to real terms of imprisonment - from 6 to 18 years. Dmitry Pchelintsev and Ilya Shakursky, whom the investigation considered the organizers of the terrorist community, was appointed 18 and 16 years of maximum security colony. Five people were accused of participating in a terrorist organization: Andrei Chernov received 14 years of strict regime, Maxim Ivankin - 13 years old, Mikhail Kulkov was appointed 10 years, Vasily Kuksov - nine years of a general regime colony. Arman Sagynbaeva was sentenced to six years in prison in a general regime colony. Together, they received 86 years in prison.

Books in St. Petersburg closed in protest against the sentence.
