In the Penza pre-trial detention center, the defendant in the “Network” case, Arman Sagynbaev, who was sentenced to six years in prison, was diagnosed with tuberculosis. This was reported by Novaya Gazeta with reference to Sagynbaev’s mother Elena Strigina.
“Initially, they took sputum from my son. And last week we took him for fluorography and confirmed closed-type tuberculosis of the right lung in the area of the shoulder blades. It seems that during the sputum examination, the diagnosis was known, but nothing was told to him,” the newspaper reports the mother’s words.
Earlier, tuberculosis was also discovered in another person involved in the Network case, Vasily Kuksov. The disease was discovered only in December last year, although Kuksov had been complaining about health problems for several months. Strigina noted that she wrote appeals to the Ombudsman for the Penza region regarding Kuksov’s health, but they did not respond properly.
