The court fined two more participants in the rally in support of political prisoners near the State Duma building

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow fined activist Lyudmila Sukova and Pussy Riot member Alexander Sofeev 15 thousand rubles each for an action in support of political prisoners near the State Duma building. Mediazona was informed about this by the press service of the court.

Sukova and Sofeev were found guilty of violating the rules of a public event (Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code).

As indicated in the administrative case files on the court’s website, the hearings took place on February 14, but it became known about them only today.

On February 3, activists hung a poster “Freedom to all political prisoners!” on the fence of the State Duma. Security forces detained eight people, including photographer Georgy Malts. Four activists were fined 10 thousand rubles, another activist and a photographer - 15 thousand rubles.
