France provided political asylum to the defendant of the case of an abandoned checker in the office of United Russia

France provided political asylum to the anarchist Svyatoslav Rechkalov, who takes place in the case of an attack on the United Russia office, according to the Prometheus telegram channel.

The attack on the office in Khovrino occurred on January 31, 2018. According to investigators, Rechkalov, along with Andrei Yeumin, Alexei Kobaidze, Elena Gorban and Azat Miftakhov, threw a smoke into the office of United Russia. Gorban broke the window in the office, Kobaidze threw a saber, Yekin took it on the phone, and Rechkalov posted the video on the Internet.

Rechkalov was detained as a witness in the case in March 2018. He told the PMC members that after the detention he was tortured with electric shock and beaten. In the early summer of 2018, the anarchist left Russia.

In February 2019, a new defendant appeared in the case - a graduate student at Moscow State University Azat Miftakhov, who was originally suspected of making explosives (part 1 of Article 223 of the Criminal Code). Then all the anarchists were tightened by the accusation - with Vandalism (Article 214 of the Criminal Code) for hooliganism (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code). Miftakhov also talked about torture.
