The court in St. Petersburg extended for another three months the arrest of the defendants of the case of the "network" Filinkov and Boyarshinov

The Second Western District Military Court at a visiting meeting in St. Petersburg extended for three months the arrest of the defendants in the case of the “network” Viktor Filinkova and Julia Boyarshinov. This was reported in the online broadcast "Mediazons".

In jail, the accused will stay until June 11, 2020. The prosecutor asked about the extension of the period of detention, who stated that he, like Filinkov, needed to familiarize himself with the examination. He also stated that not all circumstances of the criminal case are established and the suspects may affect the course of the case. The prosecutor noted that Filinkov is a citizen of Kazakhstan.

Filinkov replied that he and Boyarshinov in the pre -trial detention center were already two years old, and the prosecutor's office had already presented all the evidence. His lawyer Vitaly Cherkasov added that Filinkov is not a threat to society, and there is no need to isolate.

Evgenia Kulakova, who, at the last meeting, essentially entered the defense of Filinkov, asked the court to let him go into the doctor of the doctor, as he complains about his health. The court refused this petition, citing the fact that he was not right to make such a decision. At the same time, Kulakova read out the rules of the internal routine of the pre -trial detention center, according to which the body considering the case has the right to allow visiting the doctor.

On February 28, the next meeting was in essence with Viktor Filinkov and Julia Boyarshinov. At the meeting, the judges on the video interrogated the already convicted defendants in the case of the “network” from Penza Ilya Shakursky and Maxim Ivankin. Victor Filinkov and Julius Boyarshinov have been in custody since January 2018. The last time their arrest was extended in December 2019, also for three months. The human rights center "Memorial" recognized Filinkov and Boyarshinov by political prisoners.
