Katerina Tikhonova will head the institute at Moscow State University

The alleged daughter of President Vladimir Putin Katerina Tikhonov will be headed by the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, which should be created at Moscow State University until the end of the year. Vedomosti write that the rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy was appointed to this post by Tikhonov.

Until the end of the year, the Institute of Promising Research of Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Systems will appear at Moscow State University, which should be headed by K.V. The interlocutors of Vedomosti said that it was about the head of the National Intellectual Development Foundation (working under the Innopractics brand) Katerina Tikhonova. Reuters and Bloomberg have repeatedly called Tikhonov one of the daughters of President Putin.

Innopractics said that the institute has already been created in 2019 along with other nine institutions of promising research and that Sadovnichy appointed Tikhonov to a leading position. The rector of Moscow State University was its scientific director when writing a dissertation.

The plans to create a structure occupied by artificial intelligence at Moscow State University, said Cyril Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDII). Putin immediately supported the initiative: he called the center "the most important element of the implementation of the national technology development strategy in the field of artificial intelligence."

The center, which heads Tikhonov, receives state support. RDIPI is an industrial partner of the institute. By agreement with the government, the fund will provide organizational and consulting assistance, as well as think about options for financing projects.
