On February 28, Didenko celebrated the 29th birthday in the Banner Complex "Ninth Val" in Moscow. There were about 18 guests at the party. At some point, two of them poured about 30 kilograms of dry ice into the pool. Why is it definitely not known. The media write that ice could be used to “create a spectacular steam” or to cool water in the pool. In the video shot at the time of the incident, it is clear that before pouring dry ice into the water, the guests put on protective costumes and masks. After that, three of them jumped into the pool. Two died on the spot (lost consciousness and drowned), the third (Blogger's husband Valentin Didenko) died in intensive care. A few more people were poisoned. Among the victims, according to Mash (the blogger herself did not talk about this), - the pregnant sister of Catherine.

According to the TASS source, the participants in the party themselves brought dry ice to the bath complex, and the employees of the institution warned them about a possible danger, but did not prohibit anything.

After the incident, Didenko recorded several stories on Instagram, where she spoke about the dead and asked subscribers to share the contacts of psychologists. Many users of social networks considered her reaction to the death of her husband and friends wrong, for example, reproached for the use of a filter in stories where she talked about what had happened.

Didenko was also criticized for the level of professional expertise (the blogger graduated from the Pyatigorsk Medical and Farmetsky Institute).

The blogger was even called a nominee for the Darwin virtual prize (“awarded” for the most stupid circumstances of death), and her husband and friends with victims of “natural selection”.

At the same time, many users of social networks admitted that they did not know about such properties of dry ice, and called not to condemn the blogger.

On the fact of what happened in a bath complex, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case of causing death by negligence. Investigators, reports RIA Novosti , have already interrogated the employees of the bath complex. The leadership of the Ninth Val, writes RBC, has so far abandoned any comments.
