The analysis of the first hangar of the airfield began last week. Now one of the old metal hangars of the airfield is partially dismantled. Residents began collecting signatures against the demolition of the hangars. Over 1300 people have already signed a petition to the governor.

The airfield was built in 1936-1939 for the needs of the Luftwaffe. The Soviet Union enjoyed the Novitif airfield for almost 50 years - from 1948 to 1995. The military unit was located here. In the first hangar, cars were located that supplied fuel aircraft. It was also a repair workshop.

Activists consider the hangars of the "Novitif" airfield by historical heritage, although they are officially not recognized as such. First, the buildings belonged to the Ministry of Defense, but later they were bought by a private trader. In 2018, the hangars tried to assign the status of an object of cultural heritage, but officials refused to do this. Last year, the owner began the analysis of one of the hangars, but after the public resonance, work was stopped.
