The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow appointed ex-defendant of the "Moscow case" Daniil Konon 100 thousand rubles as compensation for illegal criminal prosecution. This was reported in the online broadcast of MBKh Media.
Thus, the court partially satisfied the plaintiff's claim. At the same time, the defense side estimated the moral damage brought to Konon by his criminal case at 1.4 million rubles. Lawyer Grigory Chervonny cited the circumstances in which Konon found himself - the initiation of a criminal case, searches, his arrest and detention. He spent about a month in jail.
At the meeting, Konon noted that in many media he was described as a criminal. He said that he experienced negative psychological and emotional states, since he had not previously been convicted.
There was no representative of the defendant from the Ministry of Finance at the trial.
Earlier, the Tver court appointed 150,000 rubles in compensation to another defendant in the Moscow case, Alexei Minyailo. The assigned amount is ten times less than what the activist asked for.
