The State Duma received Putin's amendments to the Constitution

The relevant State Duma Committee received presidential amendments to the Russian Constitution for the second reading. Their full text has not yet been published, but it is already clear that in the main document the Russian people and God will be mentioned.

The part of the amendments was told by the State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin. According to him, the document has:

• The Regulation on the Russian people as a state -forming, included in the "multinational union of equal peoples of Russia."
• The point of marriage as a union of men and women.
• Children are declared as the most important property of the Russian Federation.
• Russia is the successor of the USSR.
• The inadmissibility of the alienation of part of the country's territory and even calls for such actions.
• The mention of God in the phrase: "The Russian Federation, united by a thousand -year history, preserving the memory of the ancestors who conveyed the ideals and faith in God, as well as continuity in the development of the Russian state, recognizes the historically established state unity."

Also, the second reading of the already received presidential amendments are clarified . The most significant of them is the ban on foreign citizenship to prosecutors and the Commissioner for Human Rights, as well as the procedure for depriving the inviolability of the president who terminated the execution of powers.

The document may be considered in the second reading on March 10. All -Russian vote on amendments is scheduled for April 22.
