The court in Yekaterinburg dismissed the case under the article on foreign agents against the head of the local Memorial

The Kirovsky District Court of Yekaterinburg dismissed the case under the article on foreign agents against the head of the Ural Memorial community on Facebook, Anna Pastukhova. It is reported by Ural. MBKh Media.

The administrative case under the article on the implementation of foreign activities without appropriate marking (part 2 of article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) was terminated due to the lack of corpus delicti. Representatives of Roskomnador filed a lawsuit against Pastukhova because of publications on the Ural Memorial website and in the corresponding Facebook group.

Earlier, the same court dismissed the case on the same episodes against the Yekaterinburg Memorial Society. Anna Pastukhova told OVD-Info that the Ural Memorial website belongs to her personally and is not legally affiliated with the Yekaterinburg Memorial Society, and therefore its materials do not need to be labeled.

• The Yekaterinburg Memorial Society was included in the register of foreign agents in December 2015. The following year, the International Society "Memorial" was added to this list.
• Over the past six months, 28 protocols have been drawn up against the Human Rights Center "Memorial" and "International Memorial" on non-compliance with the law on foreign agents. The total amount of fines has already reached 4.7 million rubles. Memorial has launched a collection of donations to pay fines under the article on “foreign agents”.
