Flights from Irkutsk to Mongolia are suspended due to coronavirus

The air service between Ulan Bator and Irkutsk was suspended until March 11 by decision of the Mongol side. Such measures are taken in connection with the spread of coronavirus.

The order was received by the Irkutsk International Airport on March 3, TASS reports citing the press service of the airport.

“Air Communication is suspended in connection with the spread of coronavirus, a letter about this came to us today. This direction was quite popular. The carrier was the Mongolian airline, ”the press service said.

The test system developed in Russia to identify the virus was sent to Mongolia on March 2. As of February 26, 61 people in Mongolia are under supervision with suspicion of coronavirus infection, among them there are two Italian citizens.
