Petersburg: Speaker Zaksa accused rallies of the collapse of the Empire and the USSR

The speaker of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Vyacheslav Makarov accused the rally participants of the collapse of the Russian Empire, and later the Soviet Union. It is reported by Rosbalt.

“They dominated 103 years ago and to what our Great Fatherland was brought to. They also dominated to the collapse of our beloved Soviet Union,” Makarov commented on amendments to the regional law on rallies that the deputies adopted in the second reading.

According to amendments, it is forbidden to arrange protests on Palace Square, Nevsky Prospekt and Isaakievskaya Square, as well as in places where there is a threat of collapse of buildings or structures.

At the same time, the deputies canceled the ban on holding protests closer than 50 meters to the buildings where state authorities are located. The minimum number of guide parks - from eight to four. The amendments also introduce liability for the organizers who refused to hold the shares, but did not report this to the authorities.
